Rescue Diver

Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course.

WHO: 15 years or older (12 with a Junior Open Water Diver certification)

PREREQUISITE: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver certifications,

current CPR/1st Aid. Can be added to rescue course at an additional fee.

WHAT: This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.

The Rescue Diver course covers:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Panicked diver response
  • In-water rescue breathing protocols
  • Egress (exits)
  • Dive accident scenarios

  • April 16th EFR 6-10 pm (if needed)

  • May 11th & 12th Open water dives – France Park

  • June 15th Pool 1:00pm Bridgman
  • June 22nd & 23rd Open water dives- Gilboa Quarry

 

  • August 6th Classroom 6-9pm
  • August 13th EFR 6-10pm (is needed)
  • August 17th Pool 1:00pm Bridgman
  • August 24th & 25th Open water dives- Gilboa Quarry

 

  • October 3rd   Classroom 6 – 9 pm
  • October 10th  EFR 6 – 10 pm (if needed)
  • October 19th Pool 1:00 pm Bridgman
  • October 26th & 27th Open Water dives – Gilboa Quarry

 

COST:

  • Class Fee: $285.00, $55.00 for CPR/1st Aid (EFR) is needed
  • Books & DVD: Padi Rescue Diver E-Learning registration
    • PADI Rescue Diving Crew-Pak (with pocket mask): $74.30
    • PADI Rescue Diver DVD: $27.20 (OPTIONAL)
    • PADI EFR Manual $22.00
  • Students must purchase: Mask, fins, snorkel, boots, slate, whistle, safety sausage and log book. You may rent complete scuba equipment including compass.
  • Additional costs: Rental equipment, air fills, charter fees, park admission and parking fees.
  • Just Add H2O provides: All safety equipment including first aid kit, emergency oxygen and dive flag & float as required.
